We are happy to inform you that ComputIT, together with Scandpower and SINTEF NBL, will hold a seminar entitled "Educational seminar on oil and gas fires – frontline knowledge on experience and calculation tools".
ComputIT, Scandpower and SINTEF NBL are the leading experts in fire risk analysis, fire experiments and fire modeling. We have a close cooperation, and during this seminar we would like to share our expertise with you.
Participants will get insight into possibilities and limitations of existing calculation tools, and will get experts’ view on how to use such tools in hazard analysis and in engineering projects.
The seminar will include demonstration of a full-scale fire at the SINTEF NBLs test site at Tiller, Trondheim, where the participant will see, hear, feel and smell the effect of an oil fire with a release rate of about 3 kg/s (Approximately 120 MW).
The target groups for the seminar are engineers in oil companies, consultancy companies, and others using or commissioning calculation tools for fire hazards. Also safety personnel dealing with fire hazards qualitatively or quantitatively, and producers and suppliers of equipment that needs documentation of properties in fire.
