The KFX license structure varies from academic licenses to fully commercial licenses. A license is regarded academic of nature if the use is solely for internal teaching, educational, and non-commercial research purposes. A license is defined as commercial when allowing the Licensee the rights to submit to third party the results of Kameleon FireEx KFX® simulations. Other licenses in-between those two types also exist.
Included in a KFX® license:
- A three day basic training course
- Support by our support desk
- Maintenance of the code and frequently upgrades
- Membership in the KFX User Group
- Access to the KFX network (KFX login on this website)
Normally a license period is one year, but other options are also available.
A KFX license includes membership in the KFX User Group that has meetings twice a year. A separate KFX login and network exists on our website for this group.
